Ladages in Ladd

A recent trip through Ladd, Illinois brought a couple wonderful surprises. We found this amazing tank on display as well as a monument dating back to World War I.  The dough boy has been restored to it’s early splendor.

We stopped while driving through town to see these roadside pleasures.

We spied the military park on our way to an auction.  A friend at the auction told us about what they deemed, “Amazing fried chicken” at Rips, a local establishment in Ladd. We got to Rips before the line got long, ordered our chicken and fried mushrooms.  Amazing!

This is just a short synopsis because at times just finding that spot in the road to get out and stretch and in this case fill the body is just what is needed.  Yeah Ladd!
