Disney on Ice Presents Frozen came to Springfield, Illinois and it mesmerized. The grandkids and I were hosted to see this amazing show. I was excited to see this wonderful show come to life on ice although I admit I was a bit skeptical about how they could bring a set of this magnitude to life in one ice rink.
The show opened with Mikey, Minnie and Goofey and a fun rendition of other Disney characters. Soon the Frozen show opened with scenes just like the movie. The story came to life on ice just as promised. My granddaughter said some of the songs were shortened a bit, but the skating, the acting, the beautiful scenery and the seamless movement from one scene to another was flawless. Disney is the King of imagination and Frozen was mesmerizing.
Kids of all ages filled the BOS Center and it was fun to see some dressed in Frozen costumes. Even some adults were decked out in hats or headbands of a Frozen theme variety. The vendors were selling Frozen memorabilia for handsome prices, but everyone from young to old, large to small were riveted to the stage and lost in the music and motion of Frozen. We had a wonderful time and I loved listening to Lilly sing along with all the songs as they came up.
Cade was thrilled with the wolf scene and the snow monster, those were his favorite parts by far. Magical, mesmerizing is all I have to say!
