Cowboy Wisdom offers up over 200 quotes about the old west!

I received Cowboy Wisdom to do a book review. This is a fun read. I am hardly ever without a book in my hand. When traveling I like to have something while on the road. I figure fun books fit just fine in this blog!

Cowboy Wisdom

Cowboy Wisdom is a collection of over 200 quotes gathered and compiled by Gerd De Ley. The quotes offer up some Wild West wisdom. Some quotes are some just plain humorous. Such as the Cowpoke Proverb “Even the poorest cow has a leather coat,” by Texas Bix Bender.

Others are wise. Will Rogers Wild West Wisecrack states, “After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him. The moral: When you’re full of bull, keep your mouth shut.”

Perhaps my favorite is the Wild West Wisdom by Texas Bix Bender. “You cannot improve somebody’s part by combing their head with a six-shooter.”

This wit is followed pretty close by John Wayne’s.”Life’s tough, it’s even tougher if you’re stupid.”

The Details

These are just a few of the fine quotes in the Cowboy Wisdom Book. Published by Hatherleigh Press, Cowboy Wisdom is a new publication just released in 2018. The sections are divided into: What Makes A Man A Cowboy, Wild West Wisdoms, The Cowboy’s Little Lexicon, From The Horse’s Mouth, Wild West Wisecracks, Cowboys At The Movies, and Cowpoke Proverbs, along with an Introduction and Afterward!

The Wrap!

If you are looking for some laughs and fun, check out Cowboy Wisdom. It is one of those books that you can read the quotes out loud as you roll down the road. This can prompt you to think up a few of your own and think about days on the farm (if you have any memories to compare).

You can find the book on Amazon and at Hatherleigh Press!
