Antique Tractors Come to the Illinois State Fair

Mike Hall and Norm Claussen posed with Mike’s beautiful 1952 Super C at the Illinois State Fair Preview Day. With 67 tractors last year, this year they are hoping to bring 100 tractors to the Illinois State Fair Antique Agricultural Exposition.

“We have a special 1930 Hart Parr on steel and an 1892 Advance Rumley Steam Engine, coming to the fair, ” Mike said.

“We will also have the Big Bud 525/50 back,” Norm added. The antique Agricultural Exposition will be in building 5 located between the carnival Midway and the fire station on the east side of the fairgrounds. The exhibit is sponsored b the Illinois State Fair Museum and Jessie White, Illinois Secretary of State, Prairieland Heritage Museum and Vintage Ag Association.
