Carhartt shirt fits the bill!
For years my husband has been using Carhartt products on the farm. Carhartt coveralls and Carhartt jackets. When I had the chance to review the women’s Carhartt Force Ridgefield shirt I jumped at the opportunity! Carhartt sent me my very own olive-green Force Ridgefield Shirt to try out. The shirt arrived in the mail when I was gone and I had fun ripping open the package and planning for the perfect time to try it out!
Perfect time!
The time to try out my new Carhartt shirt came when I recently traveled to Clear Lake, Iowa for the Building Community Conference, this was the first time they have held this fun conference that linked travel bloggers and destinations and offered educational opportunities and meet ups. Held in the lovely and historic Surf Ballroom, the second day of the conference, I tried out my shirt. It was cool and comfortable. While the temperatures in central Illinois were hovering near 85, in Clear Lake, it was in the low 60’s. I wanted an outfit that would be professional enough for the event, but comfortable and warm enough for the long ride home.
What makes Carhartt shirt perfect?
First, there is the fit. I love the way the shirt hugged my body, but was not tight! I was able to wear a bright-colored tank underneath the Force Ridgefield shirt and leave the Carhartt shirt unbuttoned halfway and the shirt moved easily and didn’t bunch. It worked well at the conference, then on the long drive home, it didn’t wrinkle badly and worked well with the changes in temperatures as the thermometer rose as I trekked southward. According to their website, the Force Ridgfield Shirt had the following features that makes it work so well, “Women’s, Sweat-Wicking, Stain-Busting Button-Down Shirt One of Carhartt’s most comfortable shirts, the Ridgefield fights stains and wicks away sweat to keep you dry. From fishing to gardening to camping, this shirt is built for everything you want to do.”
Why I love it
After the conference wear, then long drive home, I am a true fan. The shirt was comfortable, held its shape and looked good from morning into the evening. My day started at 8 a.m. and ended around 9 p.m. The cost for the Carhartt shirt is $49.99 and the shirt comes in a variety of colors.
What I learned.
I have loved the Carhartt brand for years because of the durability their products offer as well as the history behind the brand. Delving into their past, this American manufacturer that began making jeans even had a Carhartt car at one time. I covered this fun fact in Farm World where I have a column called Wrenching Tales. I also have visited the Carhartt Winery and you can read about that in a past blog!
Carharrt has expanded to be more than just a manufacturer for working men, they also offer great clothes for working women and I will be checking out their catalog more closely in the future!
Note: This shirt was provided to me free of charge. I was not paid to write about this product and my opinions are my own.
