A Virtual Tractor Show!
Okay, a lot of events have been cancelled lately including tractor shows! Since we can’t travel to them, lets have a virtual tractor show! My husband Keith and I thought we’d share some of our favorites from shows we have attended.
Just like a wedding, lets start with something old! This beautiful Pioneer tractor was spied at the Half Century of Progress show in August of 2017. The Half Century of Progress is known as the Greatest Show on Earth. The show takes place every two years and the next expected show is 2021!
The beautiful old Pioneer is a looker for sure! What about a little love for the Persian Orange? These beautiful Allis Chalmers were at the Labor Day show a few years ago at Gathering of the Orange in Pontiac, Illinois. I am especially enamored with the D-14 propane beauty!
A Working Girl
While many tractors we see are from tractor shows, others like this hardworking Ford are spied at work. I went to see a beautiful field of zinnias at Rendelman’s Orchard. During our visit, my friend Rose Hammitt and I saw this Ford hard at work!
Keith and I collect Graham Bradley tractors so we would be remiss if we didn’t mention this favorite brand. Keith is posing here with his Graham Bradley standard last year in Winimac, Indiana at the annual Graham Bradley show.
This year the Graham Bradley show will take place in August in Pontiac, Illinois over Labor Day weekend. Come out and see all the fun Sears Related tractors that will be included in this fun show.
John Deere love!
Besides Graham Bradley, Keith is partial to John Deere and he loved this beautiful John Deere G wide front that we saw at the 2019 Classic Green Reunion in Grand Island Nebraska last July!
In 2018 at Greenville, Illinois they had the Case show at the American Farm Heritage Museum and Delwin VanZante had his beautiful 1908 Case tractor. What a beauty! It was cool to see a bit of Case history at this amazing site right here in Central Illinois.
Last year one of the really cool shows we attended was the Moline Universal reunion at the Antique Engine and Tractor Association . This is such an unusual tractor and in 2019 they turned 100 years old.
Last February we visited the Bodine family and got to immerse ourselves in Farmall Red. There we saw an amazing Farmall collection!
Here is a small sample of tractor sightings for your enjoyment. Let us know if there is anything else you would lie to see in the near future!
