Lake Rudolph Campground & R.V Resort right next to Holiday World
When I was a girl, I had a chance a couple times to camp with my cousin Cheri and her family. I always loved the outdoors, but never had much of a chance to take that type of a trip. This past week, I grabbed my daughter and two grandchildren and we headed for a stay at Lake Rudolph campground in Santa Claus, Indiana. Out to breakfast one day, my granddaughter Lilly had picked up the brochure for the Rudolph cabin and that is how this trip began.
The cabin in the picture is one of the Legendary cabins built in the shadow of the Legend rollercoaster at Holiday world. Not the quietest cabin, but historic! Our cabin boasted a large deck that we enjoyed as a family, but Carrie and I really loved late at night when you could sit and sip and visit with only the din of other campers nearby.
We were astonished at the multitude of activities offered at the campground from tie dye T-shirts and bingo for kids to our favorite, the lighted golf cart parade where we sat on the steps and watched the drivers cruise by in their decorated carts.
The campground had a pool, a lake, a place that delivered pizza (a big hit with the kids) and a location that couldn’t be closer to Holiday World. All is all this is a great family getaway! “I want to go back,” is what my three year old grand daughter said, and so do I!
