Minneapolis Moline is the Featured Tractor at this year’s Florida Flywheelers
This year the Prairie Gold Rush is coming to the Florida Flywheelers. Every year the Flywheelers profiles a brand and this year MM is it!
The Flywheelers is a chance for collectors from the Midwest to head south, warm up and take in the tractors, huge flea market and veg a bit before the spring thaw and for us spring planting. The show is a time of meeting old friends and making new ones.Cheryl DeLap, editor of the Prairie Gold Rush hails from Seymour, Indiana and she is excited about this year’s show. “ This show is strictly a gathering of people who collect. We don’t have any dues. We just have a cohesive interest in Minneapolis Moline (MM), Twin City and such. Our magazine assimilates information about MM. For a tractor that hasn’t been built since the mid-1970’s, it has quite a following. It is a fascinating hobby.”
No matter what brand you collect, you will probably see it along with many others you haven’t seen before at this fun show.
Part of the enjoyment of the Flywheelers is seeing people that I sometimes only see once a year like Charlie Oatts who has the Ford Building at the show. It is nice just to touch base and see what has happened over the past year. We usually travel to this show with our friends the Elliotts and make stops along the way. The event has become a stopgap and helps avert the winter blues. Although we don’t always make it to the show, you might want to see if this is in your plans!
The show ill be held February 19-22, 2014, and this year will be the 22nd year for the
