When I travel, jewelry is my go to souvenir to bring home. While traveling in Nova Scotia, my buy was pewter jewelry from Amos Pewter. Established in 1974, Helga Cookstone, a clerk at the shop shared that this year is their 40th anniversary.
Besides offering quality hand made items, what was also very neat about this shop was the chance to see how the pewter is made. This young man took the time to show us how the artists creates the design and then how a mold is formed and the pewter is poured into the mold completed.
