Marla & Cindy’s Restaurant Review -Spring Garden
What’s better than a meal out with a good friend? Not much! Plus, we thought it was time for another of our restaurant reviews!
Spring Garden Family Restaurant
Marla and I hit the Spring Garden Family Restaurant in Taylorville, Illinois this week. Marla and her family had tried it out and enjoyed the down-home atmosphere and family style food. “They offer breakfast all day,” Marla said which is a huge plus for her. Plus, they keep the coffee flowing, a must for Marla.
Located almost at the junction of Highway’s 29 and 104, the restaurant is easy to reach. We went for lunch early around 11:30 and we were seated promptly. We beat the lunch crowd. Marla chose an egg dish, and I choose a tuna croissant and fruit plate (I forgot to ask for them to remove the hated cottage cheese).
The Review
Marla loved her breakfast meal, and I thought the tuna and fruit plate was delicious. I had a choice of soup or salad with my meal as well. There was more than enough to take a second meal home.
The decor at the Spring Garden is bright and clean and our server was attentive without being intrusive. It is nice to find a locally owned, family restaurant. The diner had a nice crowd all through lunch, but no one ever seemed to wait for a long time, and everyone seemed to get their food fairly quickly.
Lately I have noticed several wonderful places to dine in Taylorville, Illinois and lots of nice places to shop as well!
Keep in mind we are not food critics, just two friends that enjoy fun places to dine and sharing our finds! Here is another review you might enjoy as well!
