Fulton County Museum an eclectic mix to peak interest.
Want to go to a museum that has a bit of everything? I do and did! I visited the Fulton County Museum and Living History Village (http://fultoncountyhistory.org) which offered up everything from a picture of the first Tarzan that they shared was the only movie actor from Rochester, Indiana, to a clown cannon. Some of the circus history reflects the Cole Bros.-Clyde Beatty circus that wintered in the Rochester area from 1934-1940. There is also a high-wire bicycle that was part of the Willie and Clara Lamberti act.
The museum also includes some of the history of the Potawatomi Trail of Death, Chief White Eagle and Ervin Stuntz Collection. The Trail of Death passed through the states of Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Kansas. For more information about the Trail of Death, check out http://www.potawatomi-tda.org/.
The museum has an old time kitchen display as well as dining room, parlor and bedroom furnished in 1910-1935 style. These are just a few of the things I enjoyed while browsing!
