Zydeco, a touch of New Orleans
A while back I traveled all the way to New Orleans, who knew I needed to go no further than Martinsville, Indiana? While on a hosted trip to Morgan County Indiana I had a chance to try out the wonderful cuisine in this fun dining spot.
The food and the decor were both spot on. What I really liked that was not true about a lot of New Orleans spots was that this was family friendly. A whole wall space was devoted to oyster shells decorated by children, the oysters came from oysters devoured by customers then turned into art by kids.
My shrimp and spicy fries were great, but what I was a greedy pig over was the bread and dipping sauce that Tosha of the Morgan County CVB said she heard had some Balsamic vinegar, but they won’t tell her anymore. In all honesty I ate part of my traveling buddy Travels with Sara’s Sara Broers portion, it was that good.
After eating part of her bread, Sara was even kind enough to let me have a bite of her bread pudding!
Zydecos also has a gift shop and a mini grocery store as well. Who knew such fun was right here in the Midwest!
