Dining at the Train Shed
When traveling to a destination one of the important aspects is finding a nice place to eat! Rose Hammit and I recently traveled to St. Louis Union Station. We rode the St. Louis Wheel, then toured the St. Louis Aquarium. The only thing left was lunch! Luckily for us, we were hosted at the wonderful Train Shed restaurant which is also located in the Union Station complex! Union Station is located in St. Louis, Missouri.
At the Train Shed, service is tops!
Jenny Martin, General Manager of the Train Shed stopped by to check on us. She shared that at the Train Shed they have been taking efforts to ensure the safety of all the customers and staff during COVID 19. All of the staff were wearing masks and patrons were placed in socially distanced tables.(Jenny and I removed our mask for the photo!)
The food at the Train Shed
Kelly our server provided us with a menu and gave us a few minutes to decide what we wanted. The menu included shareable finger foods to pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and entrées.
Since we are both grandmothers, Rose and I asked about a kids menu. Kelly said while they don’t have a kids menu per SE that they offer chicken fingers, hamburgers and cheese pizza modifying the menu for the younger crowd.
I ordered a Margherita pizza, Rose a burger (which had a cool sauce) and we ordered the potato bite appetizer! Yum!
The View
The entire restaurant was decorated in a fun pub style. For the cocktail crowd they offer 25 unique cocktails and a lovely bar.
But for Rose and I, we were most impressed with the outdoor view which looks onto water.
When it comes to paying the ticket, note that during this pandemic time they are only accepting credit cards!
It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the indoor seating with the outdoor view! For more information about the Train Shed, call 314-923-3949.
