Originals at the Red Power Round Up 2025
The Red Power Round Up 2025 was held in Sedalia Missouri. It took place June 26 – 28 at the Historic Missouri State Fair Show grounds. My husband Keith and I wound our way there for a one-day visit. The show featured 2+2 Tractors, Scout II and the W-40 Series Tractors and I loved what we saw. However, one of my favorite aspects of the show was the large number of original tractors!
This was the 36th Round Up, hosted by Missouri Chapter 1. The theme was SHOW – ME IH LEGACY.
Friends at the show!
Calvin Elder met us at the gate. We tooled around together all day. Calivin brought his beautiful Super C to the show.

Friend Lori Lynn Parkin was at the show. She and her “Boy Toy” husband are always fun to meet up with!

A wonderful site was the robot Tracto. This piece of IH history was on display. Tracto was found and restored by Kevin and Darrell Darst. On Friday afternoon, Tracto’s ownership was transferred to the IHC Charitable Trust in a moving ceremony!

Creative almost originals!
One creative original tractor display was the Farmall H that looked like was melting into the ground. Calvin posed for us. He looks like he was melting like the Wicked Witch of the West!.

Another creative sight was an innovative update to a Farmall truck. The story shares, “I started life in 1940.” This dealer truck completed its work. It ended up in a briar patch. Through some new parts its owner brought it new life.

I never tire of seeing harvest variety. This 1935 C40 International is owned by Andrew Dawson of Macon, Missouri. It had a corn sheller on the truck. Very cool indeed.

Farmall Originals!
This Farmall Regular with the Two Row Cultivators caught my eye. It belongs to the Homfeld Family from Lexington Missouri.

This same family also brought an original 1928 Farmall regular dedicated in memory of Henry Struchtemeyer.
Another favorite original is the 1931 T-35 International crawler.

Maybe the most industrious original (with added parts) was the F14 that various Chapters and Four Rivers volunteers got rolling!

Friend Howard Raymond was part of the group of volunteers that made this happen.

Red Power Round Up 2026
Next year the 37th Round Up will be in Huron, South Dakota. I’ve never been to this beautiful state. Maybe a trip is in the making! What original machinery or equipment have you seen this summer? It is all beautiful and has a story to tell. I just have an affinity for the original beauty with all its quirks showing in the patina for the life its lived, and the stories it shares. I guess it’s like me, getting up there. At this point and time, I just have to know I’ve earned every wrinkle and line, and they have too.
